Thinking through Making

Iterative prototyping is essential to my iterative design process. Through prototyping, the experience becomes physical, and more importantly, shared. Seeing another mind interact with my work is how I am able to design intuitive experiences. I prototype in whatever way is needed to emulate reality, always functional, always to scale. From 3D printing a child resistant mechanism to projecting a entire store at scale.

User Experience Mapping

Is the tool I use to consolidate the needs of the user, but also the needs of retail, manufacturing, the business, and the planet. Through research and data visualization I create solutions that are a positive experience for the user, and don't just create pain points elsewhere.

Researching until the solution is obvious.

Ethnographic Research

is where I spend most of my time, researching and discovering unmet needs. Then I shift to understanding usability: is the experience intuitive? Does it address the barriers? This is where execution begins, at the moment when the solution is obvious.

Behavioral Science is how I ground my process. It is how I fulfill the true needs of a user, both functionally and emotionally. My talent lies in seeing the world through an empathetic perspective. I understand the “what” but more significantly, I comprehend the “why.” Through this approach, amplified with creativity, I discover meaningful solutions to needs and pain points.
